Return and Refund Policy

At Kyndo, we value your satisfaction and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent shopping experience. This policy has been drafted in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act) 25 of 2002 of the Republic of South Africa, ensuring your consumer rights and aligning with the requirements of payment gateways like PayFast.

By making a purchase on our website, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.

1. Right of Cancellation (Cooling-Off Period) According to Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECT Act), you have the right to cancel your purchase for any reason within 7 (seven) working days after receiving the product.

  • Conditions for Return: * The return request must be communicated in writing (via email) within 7 working days of receiving the item.

    • The product must be in the exact same condition it was received, with no signs of use, damage, or alterations.

    • The original packaging must be intact, including all accessories, manuals, and free gifts, if any.

    • Proof of purchase is mandatory.

  • Shipping Costs: The direct cost of the return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

  • Refund: A full refund of the purchase price will be processed within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the transaction cancellation, as required by the ECT Act.

2. Implied Warranty of Quality (Defective Goods) Under Sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you have the right to return a product that is defective, unsafe, or unfit for the purpose for which it was sold, within 6 (six) months after delivery.

  • Your Rights: If a product is defective, YOU have the right to choose between:

    • A Full Refund of the amount paid;

    • A Replacement with an identical or similar product;

    • A Repair of the defective product.

  • In these cases, we bear the cost of the return shipping and the risk of loss or damage to the product during transit.

3. Damages During Delivery Please inspect your parcel immediately upon receipt. If the items are damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours. We bear the responsibility for damages or losses during transit until you accept delivery. We will resolve the issue swiftly by offering a refund, replacement, or repair as applicable.

4. Non-Returnable Products The following categories of products are not eligible for return, except in the case of a defect covered by the CPA warranty:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, plants);

  • Custom-made or personalized products;

  • Personal care and hygiene products (for sanitary reasons) if the original packaging has been opened;

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases;

  • Gift cards;

  • Downloaded digital products.

5. How to Request a Return To initiate the return process, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Contact us at contact@kyndo.co.za or +27 66 555 1828 with your order number, the reason for the return, photos (if defective or damaged), and your preference (refund, exchange, or repair).

  • Step 2: Wait for our response with detailed return instructions (within 48 business hours).

  • Step 3: Pack the product securely to prevent damage during transit and ship it according to our instructions.

  • Important: Products returned without prior authorization will not be accepted and will be sent back at your expense.

6. Refund Processing Approved refunds will be processed within 10 (ten) business days from the approval date, using the original payment method.

  • Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days to reflect on your statement.

  • Bank Transfer (EFT): 7-10 business days. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you haven't received it, please contact us.

7. Exchanges If you wish to exchange a product for a different one (not due to a defect), we recommend returning the original item under the "Right of Cancellation" process and placing a new order. This ensures you receive the new product faster and avoids logistical complications.
